In brief
This website uses no third-party analytics or advertising services. It counts visits via a.teaser.md, the network’s own statistics server, without cookies (see below). It only sets a cookie if you open it via a sales partner’s personal link. Fonts, images and scripts come from this domain and from the statistics server. The other exception is the enquiry form by FormDialog described below.
Personal link
If you open the website via a personal link, for example the link of a member or partner, the server checks the code and forwards you to the same page without the code. The overview of all magazines is freely accessible to all visitors and requires neither a link nor a cookie.
If the link comes from one of our sales partners, a cookie (p4gref) stores this partner’s identifier for 180 days. If you submit the enquiry form, this identifier is sent to us with your enquiry so that we can assign the enquiry to the partner who gave you the link. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in attributing referrals correctly and remunerating partners for them (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
In addition, the page reports each opening via a personal link once to a.teaser.md: the code of the link, date and time, country and city, roughly the device type, operating system and browser, and the page viewed. For this, the server briefly appends the code to the address; the page reads it and removes it immediately, and no cookie is created for the statistics. The IP address is only used to determine country and city and is not stored. This lets us see when and from where a personal link is used and recognise when a link is passed on. The entries are kept for at least twelve months. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in tracing the use of the links we issue and detecting misuse (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Visitor counting
Every page loads a small counting script from a.teaser.md, the network’s own statistics server. It is located in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main; the data is not passed on to third parties. The script sets no cookies and stores nothing in the browser. It records the page viewed, the referring page, screen width and language, roughly the device type, browser and operating system, as well as clicks on downloads and links to other websites. The IP address is only used briefly to determine country and city and to form a daily hash, and is then discarded, never stored. The hash is formed anew every day, so recognition across several days is not possible. Raw visitor counting data is deleted after twelve months. If your browser sends “Do Not Track”, nothing is recorded. The script loads no advertising on this website.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring the reach of this site with as little data as possible (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Server log files
When you visit, our hosting provider Hostinger International Ltd. (Cyprus) processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, referring page (referrer), browser and operating system. This serves the security of the website; the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is not combined with other sources and is deleted automatically after a short time. A data processing agreement is in place with the provider.
Enquiry form
Our enquiry form is provided by FormDialog (formdialog.com), a service of our group of companies. It is loaded from formdialog.com in the intro call section of the home page, and your IP address is transmitted to this server. When you submit the form, your details are transmitted to handle your enquiry and used only for that purpose (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR).
Contact by phone, email or WhatsApp
If you call or write to us, we process your details to handle your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). For WhatsApp, the privacy policy of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. also applies.
